general check in day on February 22, 2026 from 8am till 8pm

check in will take place at Cicero Stadium. All participants will be required to check in on that day presenting their Usa boxing passbooks. Coaches can check in their boxers but will need to present their boxers USA boxing passbooks. ThIS will be the last day for any changes of any kind to be made. Failure to check in will result in removal from tournament. After check in is complete the  schedule will be created and brackets will be drawn. final brackets will be posted. You must report on the scheduled day of your bracket even if you are scheduled to have a bye. Failure to show up on your bracket REPORT DATE WILL BE ENTERED INTO MATCH TRACKER AS A disqualification.

It is mandatory that you upload all necessary documents to your USA boxing profile

 

Your membership ID card must be printed out and placed in your passbook. If an ID card needs to be printed out at check in there will be a $5 charge cash only

Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament Policies and Procedures

 

The Chicago Golden Gloves has the right to some exceptions to the rules and policies of USA Boxing. Please note the following that may differ.

● USA boxing rules of competition including code of conduct (appendix B of USA boxing book) will be in effect

● U.S. citizens and non-citizens with legal residency will be allowed to compete in novice division

● 10 point must scoring system

● 3-5 Judges will be used at the discretion of the tournament director. ALL judges scores will be used

● Novice division 9 bouts or less

● Open/Elite 10 bouts or more

● Your license will determine club affiliation, if you belong to a club or organization that is not a member of USA boxing you will be considered unattached (rule 1.4 of USA booking book)

● Three coaches will be allowed to work in the corner, three coaches per team will be allowed into the tournament at no charge. MUST be USA boxing certified members

● Free admission to any current USA registered boxer under 18 years of age

● Free admission to officials with proper Golden Gloves apparel who are officiating tournament

Weight classes are as follows:

● Male weight classes 110, 121, 132, 143, 154, 165, 176, 187, 198, 198+

● Female weight classes 106, 112, 119, 125, 132, 143, 154, 165, 176, 176+

● Elite/Open male and female fighters MUST use open face headgear. No cheek protectors allowed

For consideration of funding to the National Tournament of Champions, a boxer MUST compete once throughout the tournament with a minimum of 10 bouts
